I'll put together the proposal.
This alone improves closing rates.
2. The follow-up mistake.
Typical pattern:
You send a proposal.
Prospect disappears.
You wait.
Instead, use the 48-hour follow-up rule.
Example:
Subject: Quick follow-up
Hey {{first_name}},
Just checking if the proposal made sense.
Any questions on your end?
Then follow a 4-touch follow-up sequence. Day 1, send the proposal. Day 3, quick check-in. Day 8, 'Should I close this?' Day 16, final note.
Most deals die because founders stop at Day 1.
3. The sales mistake.
Many founders step back from sales around ₹2-3Cr revenue.
A founder in Delhi told me recently: My salesperson books 8 meetings in a month. I book 4. Mine close at 60%. His close at 15%. The math isn't close.
That is because founder-led sales convert 3-5× higher.
Better model:
Founder handles
• key relationships
• top accounts
Salesperson handles
• outreach
